ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College has been tabbed as the preseason favorite to capture the New England Collegiate Conference field hockey championship, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the NECC’s head field hockey coaches.

New England Collegiate Conference to begin play in 2008-09

Chicopee, Mass. – Nine colleges and universities from New England have formally announced the creation of a new athletic conference, which will be known as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC). In 2008-09, the conference will be an officially recognized NCAA Division III member and will commence with regular season competition and championships in 13 sports.
